Pretty Flower

Do you want to have a wall space that can be changed frequently and add a pop of life into your room? A floral wall is definitely the answer! You can create the perfect floral space using picked wild flowers and you only need tape or some string (if you want to construct a delicate garland) and you’re free to get creative. I think this is a perfect way of adding a unique touch to any party…

Hanging Happy

My dream is to one day have enough space to create a walk-in wardrobe. I think this dream is a long way off being a reality, but a girl can still fantasise on how it’ll look! I’m so taken with the idea that I’ve collated a Pinterest board as a source of inspiration when the happy day finally arrives, which you can view here.

Happy Tuesday!

Struck Gold

As many of you will know, I’m a magpie for all things shiny and sparkly and the colour gold is a colour I’m always drawn to. As a colour, gold adds a touch of luxury and glamour to any outfit, interior or table and I’m currently experiencing a love affair rose gold. Yum.

Happy weekend!

Bloom

So, it’s almost the weekend and I’m off to a friends to celebrate the Bank Holiday. I always like to take a small gift with me when going to friends houses or parties, as a gesture of thanks for the invite, and I think a beautiful bouquet is perfect.

Check out the lovely instuctions below on how to make a scrumptious bouquet …

 You don’t need to do this with Peonies, but I absolutely love them and think they should be used whenever possible! There are several things that make them great flowers, but the best thing is they can be purchased quite easily when they are in season. However, once the peonies have bloomed out, they are somewhat delicate so look after them nicely! To do this bouquet you’re going to need the following:

 *A couple of meters of floristry ribbon

* Scissors

* String

* Peonies or any flower you like! (I’d go for 10 stems in a few colours)

*You need to get the flowers by re-cutting the stem on a slight angle and placing in a bucket of water for a few hours as this will prevent them from opening too quickly.

* Remove the flowers that will be inside the vase once you put them into water.

* Take a few flowers and place them in your hand and begin to group the remaining within the bouquet in groups of 3. As you begin to do this turn the bouquet to the left as this will manipulate the stems to spiral.

 * Tie the stems of your bouquet with the string.

* Now cover the string with your chosen ribbon and down towards ther bottom of them stem and you have a beautiful arrangement!

Perfection.

Vignette

Everyone’s home is injected with their own personal style, their likes and loves and I enjoy ‘reading’ the story of people’s personality through the home they live in and how things are placed and arranged.

I recently learnt that the placement of objects on your favourite side board or console table is called ‘Vignetting’ (I just presumed it was homely touches but I’ve now learnt otherwise!).

Do you have a beautifully styled vignettes in your home?

Dressed

Welcome to the home of interior designer Kelee Katillac. Every room is ‘dressed’ to perfection with dramatic chandeliers, beautiful finishing touches and stunning custom pieces. The colours of yellow, turquoise and peach within the apartment are a real feast for the eyes.

Did you notice the bow finishes to the curtains, the diamond patterned flooring and the upholstered shutters?

Inspiring.

Jubilant Print

With a lot of attention on the UK this year, what with the Olympics and the Queen’s celebrations, why not inject a bit of English style into your home with the fabulous Jubilee fabric collection from Liberty’s!

This fabric collection is a debut home furnishings collection from Liberty and is inspired by the London store’s archive of exquisite vintage designs, which have been popular within the fashion houses of Chanel and Erdem for decades. The Jubilee Collection is an eye-catching and eclectic range of prints on quality velvet and furnishings linen.

It’s DEFINITELY love at first sight for me!
