Even though the weather that we are currently experiencing doesn’t reflect the arrival of British summer time, doesn’t mean that your home and wardrobe don’t have to! Whether it’s clashing floral prints, a burst of colour on an upholstered chair or an over haul of all things bright and beautiful, here are a few stunning images to get your creativity flowing!

Hope you’re all having a lovely week and that you had a happy Easter….

Relaxing Perfection

I love the luxurious use of purples in this collection of images. The use of velvet on the vibrant bedspread and the iconically shaped chairs graced with the bright colour are perfection. Even though purple is thought to be quite a bold colour, I love the relaxing feel that the colour offers to all three rooms.

Happy Friday!

Mapped Out

A few months ago, I collated this post which expressed my love for maps. I came across this striking image on Pinterest and had to share it with you.

Maybe it’s the buttoned settee that is sat pretty in front of the intricately detailed map, or the blue cushion and flooring which picks out the greys and blues in the map…who knows, but i do know that I love it!

Mint & Stripe

These two images have been a huge source of inspiration for me this week – beautiful hand painted panels with a minty pop of colour and a gallery wall surrounding a striking stripe settee.

Would you have either of these bold statements in your home?

Flutter

When I came across this image on my Pinterest page, it made my heart flutter as I began to day dream of sitting back in that cosy corner and getting lost in the pages of the books stacked high.

Could you see yourself passing the hours of a weekend in such a place?

Beautifully Filled

Here are a few pretty images from this months issue of Lonny. I love the beautifully filled rooms, adorned with busy frames, fresh flowers and eclectic accessories. The lilac settee is a refreshing pop of colour and i love the lucite chairs!

Happy Tuesday!

Lovely Seat

I’ve been storing up these 3 images for a while now, not because they tie together well but more because I find them really inspiring to look at. The rooms are blessed with beautiful furniture and pieces that possess a romantic twist. LOVE.

I think every home needs a little 2-seater settee – they sit pretty in the corner and bring an office or dressing room to life, especially when upholstered in a beautifully textured fabric.

Airy Style

Per Gunnarson is a Swedish freelance photographer currently based in Norway. Per photographs white and bright interiors with a personal touch, making them feel welcoming and very lived in.  The accents of color and pattern creates a very fresh look and stand out among the whites in the room. The pops of colour, wooden accents and airy spaces are refreshing and unique. I’m definitely attracted to the smokey violet hues and the use of slate grey in their array of textures and patterns!
