These three images have been an inspiration to me lately and I find the use of layers in each image interesting. Whether it’s laying clothing and mixing clashing colours, overlapping of mediums on a canvas or adding interest to a room by taking something ordinary and adding to it.
Sometimes I think it’s instinct to tidy everything away and to give items their own place within your home, but this week my inspiration has come from having beauty displayed for all to see. Whether it’s vintage books stacked high on mantlepieces or stunning textiles hung from doors and hooks, such loveliness should be out for you to admire and adore.
My favourite time of the month is the delivery of my beloved magazine subscriptions, and I also like to keep up to date by viewing the publications websites. I am a regular visitor to Elle’s street chic section and find it a constant source of loveliness and this stunning image of a vintage kimono worn by a Paris Fashion Week go-er is just beautiful! I love the accents of green & turquoise, and the pop of skill that has been added to the silk kimono.
I have recently become attracted towards all things purple, adorned in this romantic hue. Whether it’s incorporated in your home or your wardrobe, it is the perfect colour to cheer up your day and to add a pop of colour.
I recently planted my window boxes for the arrival of summer (…even though it’s yet to arrive!) and I chose ivory pansies with a purple centre, blasting through the centre. Yum.
I adore the idea of hanging your favourite clothing off luxury silk hangers in your home. Not only is it an ever changing form of art, but it’s also a way of showcasing your beautiful garments that are often too splendid to be hid away in your wardrobe! Mix lovely fabrics and prints against plain walls or showcase your favourite shoes on a shelf…the possibilities are endless!
Neon is a statement trend that we saw introduced into our homes and wardrobes last year, and it’s set to stay for the foreseeable future! I have to admit that I love adding a touch of neon to my outfits with a bright necklace or to my home with accessories.
The weather really isn’t getting anywhere close to summer so adding neon to your life is the perfect way of updating your style with a pop! Here is a little look at some of the neon images that I have been collating, but to view more check out our Pinterest page.
As many of you would have guessed by now, I am a huge fan of anything a little outrageous. Whether it’s bold & bright, sparkly or quirky I am generally at the front of the queue.
Recently I have fallen even more in love with metallics, not only do metallics make a statement but they also make me smile. There is no better way of uplifting a basic than with a pair of metallic shoes upon your feet…

My dream is to one day have enough space to create a walk-in wardrobe. I think this dream is a long way off being a reality, but a girl can still fantasise on how it’ll look! I’m so taken with the idea that I’ve collated a Pinterest board as a source of inspiration when the happy day finally arrives, which you can view here.
