Relaxing Perfection

I love the luxurious use of purples in this collection of images. The use of velvet on the vibrant bedspread and the iconically shaped chairs graced with the bright colour are perfection. Even though purple is thought to be quite a bold colour, I love the relaxing feel that the colour offers to all three rooms.

Happy Friday!

Mellow Yellow

Yellow is the perfect colour to brighten up any day. You can add summer to your home with yellow hues injected into your interior, adorn a vintage tin with beautiful roses or go bold and stunning by adding a yellow pop to your outfit.

Go on, we dare you…

Calm Beige

Since being inspired by the images from London Fashion Week, I have been attracted by anything which is beige! Whether it’s a trench coat, a paint sample or a fabric adorning a button backed chair, the colour is inspiring and perfect for this coming season.

Happy Monday!

Welcome

This past weekend I was taking a walk through the beautiful Somerset countryside and I stumbled across this stunning little home with a bubble gum pink door! The wooden gated entrance leading to the quaint cottage garden was framed by leafy green climbing plants, and the handmade shell wind chimes that hung from the porch sang in the wind…

BEAUTIFUL.

Ruby

The colour red is associated with passion, courage, rage and desire. Deep, ruby reds first came into our homes during the Victorian era, a statement colour of grandeur which was seen in libraries, dining rooms and entrances. This coming season, red is seen in the home and on the catwalks and is vibrant and uplifting.

Struck Gold

As many of you will know, I’m a magpie for all things shiny and sparkly and the colour gold is a colour I’m always drawn to. As a colour, gold adds a touch of luxury and glamour to any outfit, interior or table and I’m currently experiencing a love affair rose gold. Yum.

Happy weekend!

Jubilant Print

With a lot of attention on the UK this year, what with the Olympics and the Queen’s celebrations, why not inject a bit of English style into your home with the fabulous Jubilee fabric collection from Liberty’s!

This fabric collection is a debut home furnishings collection from Liberty and is inspired by the London store’s archive of exquisite vintage designs, which have been popular within the fashion houses of Chanel and Erdem for decades. The Jubilee Collection is an eye-catching and eclectic range of prints on quality velvet and furnishings linen.

It’s DEFINITELY love at first sight for me!

Lease of Life

Do you have a piece of furniture that you love the shape of but it doesn’t quite fit in with your current interior? Why not make a colour statement and paint it in a contrasting colour?

I wrote a post (here) that looked at adding a roll of paper or a burst of colour into your cupboards, but why stop there!

I’d love to see what you’re all updating in your homes…

Coral Reef

The pinky-orange hues that make up the tone of coral is one of my favourites. It’s uplifting and adds the perfect pop of colour to an outfit, interior or garden. If I’m feeling a little out of sorts, a quick sweep of coral lipstick is a sure way of living my spirits and my day is instantly injected with fun!

Vanilla Ice

You can’t go wrong with buying anything in beautiful vanilla and cream hues. The tone matches with everything and is ladylike and elegant, whether it adorns your wardrobe or home.

Bliss.
