Kraft It

I am one for writing several lists throughout the working week and have fallen head over heels in love with this idea! It’s simple to implement and inexpensive too.

All you need to create this is two eyelet hooks, some rope and a roll of narrow kraft paper. Perfection for under £10!

Iced

In true British fashion, when we experience weather (good or bad) we tend to have an opinion on it! As we’re now experiencing a summer, I have been craving a lot of cold drinks and I have been adding rose petals to my ice cube trays before freezing to create beautiful looking cubes of loveliness! It is simple to do and is the perfect way of cheering up your glass.

Happy Wednesday!

Lit Mould

A few months ago, I created this post on how to create your own candles using vintage cup and saucers to give them a new lease of life. I am totally in love with the idea of also making my own candles using glass jelly moulds and including two wicks to make more of an impact. What this space as I rummage through vintage markets and charity shops to find the moulded beauties!

Hope you all have a lovely week!

Mix Tape

I’ve always had a slight obsession with stationary and my latest love is Washi Tape. Washi is the perfect accessory to any drawer and can be used for practically anything, from hanging postcards to your walls or creating art in your home. This week so far I have used it to make a birthday card for a friend and hang some notes up in my workshop…and it’s only Monday!

Wrap Up

One of my favourite parts of Christmas is wrapping the presents. It’s a brilliant opportunity to go all out with your creative inspiration and give a gift that is not only beautifully presented, but also a touch hand crafted.

I’m a big fan of ribbons (I even have a ribbons drawer!) and think that recycling is ideal when it comes to gift wrapping. This year I plan on wrapping my presents in news print, using neon ribbon knotted in large bows and stitching my gift tags myself.

How will you wrap yours?

Mirrored Wall

When you’ve got a small space, mirrors are perfect . They add depth to a room and make it appear larger than it actually is. I’ve recently began collecting art deco mirrors from charity and junk shops so that I can build up a gallery wall of mirrors.

I love the mirrors in the bathroom, tilted on the shelf all happy!

Neon

I thought I’d add a neon touch to today’s post with a lighting extravaganza. The only way you’re going to get your point across is by saying it in neon, after all!

A few weeks ago I wrote this post looking at adding an extra dimension to your home with marquee lighting and this is another added extra to give you inspiration.

What do you think? Would you have something like this in your space?

Winter Buds

As winter is drawing in, why not keep your vases stocked with beautiful pom-pom buds? You can make vibrantly coloured pom-poms (here’s how) and then glue the end of the twig into the centre of the pom-pom and there you have it…the perfect winter pick-me-up for your home!

Gifted

A world without stationary isn’t even worth thinking about! I could spend days creating beautifully wrapped gifts and card making. I take pleasure from giving presents that are adorned with ribbon, lace and other luxurious textures and my mind is constantly thinking of new ways to ‘out do’ my previous efforts!

I thought that I would put together a few inspirational images to give you all on how you can wrap up your lovely gifts for friends and family. There is also plenty more where these images came from on my Pinterest page, too!

Happy creating!
