They always say that the kitchen is the heart of any home and because of this, I always feel that kitchens should be as practical as they are visual treat. We’re in the process of collating ideas for the kitchen in our new home and I want something that is light and airy, whilst also being the perfect combination of style and substance.
Here are a few images that have been inspiring me for ideas for our new kitchen…
As I look out the window, the rain is coming down thick and fast and I’m finding myself looking forward to the warmth and colour that Spring brings. I always try to flood (no pun intended!) my wardrobe, home & garden with the brights and florals that remind me of the season as a way to perk up my winter hibernation!
I was partaking in a little weekend procrastination when I came across this stunning image of these Art Nouveau tiles. Oh, how I would love these to grace my home.
I am always surprised by how uninspiring tiles can be in shops for the home and tend to avoid having them unless necessary, but if they were all as detailed and decadent as these lovely ceramics, then it would be a different story!
As an inhabiter of small spaces, I am always intrigued on how people approach small homes and how they make them work for them while also keeping the interior beautiful.
This is the home of Joanna and her home is simply stunning. Believe it or not, her apartment is only 43 square meters but her clever use of furniture, light and arrangement of mirrors allows the home to work for her.
With the change of the season, comes a change in light also. The sun is cooler but the warm glow that it projects makes all things golden. With this in mind, I have been drawn towards golden tones and how the light bring things adorned in the hue to life.
As many of you would have gathered by now, I am a believer of having beauty of display and like to make the most of the simplest of ideas. I have recently been collating ideas for the new abode I think that I will be replacing the traditional cork board for clip boards as a way of having the everyday on display!
