With the change of the season, comes a change in light also. The sun is cooler but the warm glow that it projects makes all things golden. With this in mind, I have been drawn towards golden tones and how the light bring things adorned in the hue to life.
I love subtle blue pastels in this collection of images, it’s calming whilst also making an impact within the surroundings. The hues are bought alive with the contrast of creams and whites, whether introduced by fabrics and textures or light.
I have recently become attracted towards all things purple, adorned in this romantic hue. Whether it’s incorporated in your home or your wardrobe, it is the perfect colour to cheer up your day and to add a pop of colour.
I recently planted my window boxes for the arrival of summer (…even though it’s yet to arrive!) and I chose ivory pansies with a purple centre, blasting through the centre. Yum.
Grey is one of my favourite colours, whether in my wardrobe or in my home, and it peeks up in my day to day life frequently. Whether it’s charcoal or marl, it’s the perfect hue to inject a feeling of calm.

As many of you will know, I am a huge fan of the ombré trend (so much so that I previously created this post) and when i stumbled across this beautiful image a few weeks ago, I just couldn’t wait to share it with you!
The gradually descending turquoise hue in the curtains is perfectly complemented by the boldly shaped barrel chairs at the sturdy table, welcoming the daylight to flood into the room.
