Blush

As well as being considered to be a romantic shade, I also find dusky pink to be a calming hue. In every magazine I peek into, pastel shades seem to spring up and I have also collated a Pinterest page for all the inspiring images I find.

In our garden, we had the lovely surprise of finding out that the bottom of our path is home to stained pink roses at this time of year! Lovely British summer time goodness.

Rural

I once again need to apologise for my blogging absence, I have been knee deep in boxes and packing material as we’re in the process of moving house and relocating to a rural existence. However, the worst of the moving is now over and I am back and more inspired than ever.

I have still been busy in the workshop and have been doing lots of research and today’s post is a little taste of what I have discovered online. If you want to see more visual loveliness, browse the Hana & George Pinterest page.

Wishing you all a lovely week and thank you all for your continued viewing of my little virtual sketchbook!

Textured

Whether it’s fabric, an ornate fire place or brickwork, it’s all graced with texture. I love to run my fingers along textured surfaces and appreciate their form. I have been so inspired recently by the touch and feel of different textures that I have put together a Pinterest board in it’s honour! You can check out the board here

Happy Friday to you all and I hope you’ve had an inspiring week!

Details & Fabrics

I thought I would expand on today’s usual ‘Friday Four’ of inspiration to show you a few beautiful images that I have found. I love the feminine feel of them all, with their vintage touches of fabrics, details and colourings. I absolutely adore the Parisian restaurant window with it’s gilt gold typography and the view of its stunning wooden bannister! LOVE.

Thousand Words

As many of you will know, I am constantly busy on Pinterest sourcing inspiring images. The quote that ‘a picture says a thousand words’ is too true when it comes to gaining creativity, as I have found through my adventure with collating my boards.

Here is a little collection of the images that have gained my attention over the past few months. If you’d like to see more of where these have come from, pop over and visit the Hana & George Pinterest page.

Hope you all have a lovely week!

Mapped Out

A few months ago, I collated this post which expressed my love for maps. I came across this striking image on Pinterest and had to share it with you.

Maybe it’s the buttoned settee that is sat pretty in front of the intricately detailed map, or the blue cushion and flooring which picks out the greys and blues in the map…who knows, but i do know that I love it!
