I believe that you should make the area in which you work exciting, as well as functional…after all you spend the majority of your time within your working environment and I love to work surrounded by inspirations and loveliness.
With this in mind (and the move to my new workspace happening this weekend *happy dance*), I thought I would put a few images that I have gained inspiration from for my new space…
This beautiful shed is the handy work of Artemis Russell of Rust and the super cool Junkaholique. She’s created the perfect sewing haven in her garden by sprucing up your average 4×6 shed and adding her own touch. I am completely inspired by this item and am already plotting plans to create my own shed once we have moved!
I love the tones of these cherry red images. Whether I am wearing red lipstick or adding an injection of crimson beauty to my interior, I love the impact that a hint of red gives.
I am head over heals in love with the Singer machine which has been given a face lift in red, as this is the same machine that I use regularly in the workshop. The gently hum that it creates as it stitches is pure heaven…
Fabrics are one of life’s true pleasures and I love to examine how fabric can be manipulated to create such beautiful things. It doesn’t matter if I’m appreciating images or sat at my sewing machine, experimenting with vintage fabrics or creating a piece for a chair. My interest in fabrics know no bounds.
Tulle is so romantic and it always reminds me of wintery weather, with the way it folds replicate sheets of snow, one on top of the other.
