Shaded

I love lighting and love the mood that it sets in an evening, especially if the light fitting is adorned with a stunning light shade. The light created can be decided by the colour shade that you decide to choose – red and yellow tones will give off a warm light, where as blue and green hues project a cooler light. If you want to create an impact with your lighting, grouping several shades together will give your room an eclectic focal point.

Sewing Haven

This beautiful shed is the handy work of Artemis Russell of Rust and the super cool Junkaholique. She’s created the perfect sewing haven in her garden by sprucing up your average 4×6 shed and adding her own touch. I am completely inspired by this item and am already plotting plans to create my own shed once we have moved!

Unique Stamp

I like all things in my home to not only be a statement, but a little over the top at times too. I find that lighting is the perfect way to inject a unique stamp into a room without a lot of financial or permanent commitment to the cause…after all, if you get bored of a certain vintage lampshade you could always just take it down and put another one in its place.

I am completely in love with these three lighting ideas and think that the fabric lampshade would be perfect over an oval dining table!

Attitude

I sometimes find bathrooms and cloakrooms to be a little too clinical, but I think that they should be exactly the opposite – I think this room in your home can have attitude and really stand out. Why not add a quirky touch by decorating with printed wallpaper and adding bold mirrors and lighting? It’ll definitely get your guests talking…

Happy Wednesday!

Glam Trip

Wow. A caravan decked out with Ralph Lauren wallpaper, mirrored drawers and a vintage glass drop chandelier. Talk about adding a gorgeous touch to a small space! I can’t say that I’m one for camping, but the opportunity to stay in this beauty could change my mind…

Happy Monday!

Patterned

Here are two pumpkins with a difference. Why not add a touch of chic to today by decorating your pumpkins with wallpaper or magazine off-cuts?

It’s unique and will definitely look beautiful if you decorate your mantle with a few pumping and a selection of candles…

Happy Halloween!

Beautifully Filled

Here are a few pretty images from this months issue of Lonny. I love the beautifully filled rooms, adorned with busy frames, fresh flowers and eclectic accessories. The lilac settee is a refreshing pop of colour and i love the lucite chairs!

Happy Tuesday!

Witty Light

I absolutely adore these lamps from Atelier Abigail Ahern’s collection. The lamps are created from glazed earthenware and teamed with a colourful Parisian silk shade.

These lamps are witty, unique and playful and would cheer up any room that they sit in!
