When I was ‘flicking’ through the online pages of Vogue, I was encaptured by the beauty of these photographs of Florence Welch’s London home.
I love the eclectic feel of this Georgian terraced home, adorned with Florence’s vintage finds and family heirlooms. The home is welcoming, yet some what of a gallery of beauty with the art gracing the walls and the vignettes of her treasures on shelves and in cabinets.
My inspirations for this week have come from an array of mediums, but they’re all fused together by their decorative nature. The collections of wooden box-like frames are as artistic and beautiful as they are practical and I love the combination of trinkets which, at first look, appear jumbled but when inspected closer I noticed that each trinket, shell and treasure has it’s place.
Everyone’s home is injected with their own personal style, their likes and loves and I enjoy ‘reading’ the story of people’s personality through the home they live in and how things are placed and arranged.
I recently learnt that the placement of objects on your favourite side board or console table is called ‘Vignetting’ (I just presumed it was homely touches but I’ve now learnt otherwise!).
Do you have a beautifully styled vignettes in your home?
