Vintage birdy imagery, light and nature have all played a part in this weeks inspirations. The arrival of glorious sunshine has left me with the need to update my workshop and this weekend shall be spent with ‘Brilliant White’ emulsion. Watch this space.
Grey is most definitely my favourite hue. It’s so versatile and whether its charcoal or silver in shade, its diversity can be seen in interiors, fashion and in nature. I love to used muted greys and to contrast them with an array of patterns and textures…yum!
This week we appear to have fallen into winter, the nights are getting colder and our surroundings have began to hibernate.
The thing that attracted to me to these two images is the intricate detailing that they hold. The use of the muted tones in both allow the beauty to shine through. I’m mesmerised by the craftsmanship that has applied to create such visually stunning pieces.
For me, these two beautiful images are a summary of what is to come with the changing seasons. When the weather gets warmer, I love to open the windows in my home and to allow the breeze to circulate each room. The love the crisp, relaxing hues of the buds and bedroom.
I adore this area of Lela Rose’s multi-functional home. The sixteen meter high ceilings definitely allows for the gallery-esque space to be airy and 1960’s Pierre Paulin circular sectional encasing the pillar is simply stunning!
I love the muted palette of this very tranquil home. Everything has it’s place and even though the light shades of the rooms would perhaps expect the home to feel bare, I actually feel that the opposite has been achieved. The quirky touches, filled vases and the odd pastel colour adds the perfect touch. LOVE.
The mixture of prints, colours and textures in this stunning library is the perfect eclectic interior collection for me. The stark white shelves, table and stools offset the bold print of the floral curtains which frame the light from the window, which beams onto the table of circular books.
I think that a lot of people think that white interiors can be intimidating and minimal, but these images prove that a shabby chic interior can be refreshing and welcoming. The rustic furniture with the light flooding in can provide a peaceful interior to sit back and relax in…
