Outdoor Love

When we moved to our new home, I was fortunate enough to be able to have my own little studio/workshop in the garden and, with the arrival of Spring, it is a really inspiring place to be. On a day like today I open the double doors and have all the windows open, so I am pretty much working outside. It’s heaven!

Here are a few outdoor lovelies which I have been collating on my Pinterest page. Maybe I should plan an extension on the H&G HQ?

{Sorry for the blogging absence – I have been unwell for the last few weeks so have been taking some time out!}

Highlight

With the clocks going forward this weekend, I feel as though the last few months have just flown by! I’m looking forward to longer days and fresh flowers from the garden, burst of colour in my home highlighted by the daylight shining through the windows and opened toed shoes…rock n’ roll, I know.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

Sweetest Pea

My love for a Sweet Pea blooming vase knows no bounds. I have always bought sweet peas from florists and markets in the past due to the lack of outside space, but this year I plan on growing them myself. The seeds have been planted and they have began to germinate…

Weathered

As soon as the sun shines, whatever the temperature, I have a desire to instantly be outside. As the nights have become lighter and the days of sunshine are becoming a reality I have been gathering inspiration for my garden seating area. I want the space to be relaxing, comfortable and to also merge into its alfresco surroundings…

Soon

Yesterday evening, I sat outside in my garden at 5.30 and it was only just starting to go dark and the air felt spring – like. Bulbs are starting to come up, announcing that gardens will soon be lush green and blooms of colour will soon be with us. Until the time comes, I have decided to fill my home with spring time colours…

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Floralistic

As I look out the window, the rain is coming down thick and fast and I’m finding myself looking forward to the warmth and colour that Spring brings. I always try to flood (no pun intended!) my wardrobe, home & garden with the brights and florals that remind me of the season as a way to perk up my winter hibernation!

Floral Textile

With the heatwave that we are currently experiencing, I have been feeling all things summery and love the idea of making small changes to my home by adding bright bedding and fresh flowers! It’s an inexpensive way of adding a touch of summer, whilst making a welcoming impact.

{Apologies for the mini blogging hiatus – things have been super busy with Hana & George in the workshop!}

Entertain

The sun is shining and we’re about to embark on a three day weekend, and for this reason I am going to divert away from my weekly ‘Friday Four’ to bring you a little outdoor inspiration.

As soon as the sun comes out, I love to enjoy this time of the year with family and friends in a beautiful park or garden. To get you all in the Bank Holiday mood, here are a few stunning outdoor party ideas…

Happy Friday!

Whisk me Away

Recently I have been craving a city break. I love the adventure of a long weekend, soaking up the culture of other beautiful cities and the architecture and attractions they offer. There is nothing more relaxing than long strolls along cobbled streets, long lunches and visits to art galleries and historical sites.

My desire for a weekend away has led me to collate a Pinterest page dedicated to the beauty of city life in the eyes of a tourist. To view more lovely cities, visit our Whisk me Away page…

Happy Wednesday to you all!

Different Times

I have found myself inspired by light this week. The way that the evening sun beams through the windows and how things appear different at certain times of the day. For me the light of summer is always magical – the strong sun of the morning welcoming another day and the dull, romantic shimmer of the evening….
