Floral Scent

The sun is finally shining in all its magnificent glory and nothing is more inspiring, in my opinion! I love to leave the window open and allow the wind to enter my home, bringing with it the scent from the florals in my window boxes…SWOON.

Happy Friday to you all and I hope you have a lovely, sunny weekend planned!

Stuck Up

I really love this idea of simply using washi tape or tack to sprawl my inspirations on the walls at home and in the workshop. It’s organic in its arrangement and means that all the things that you catch your eye and creative ideas are up for all to see and appreciate!

Do you have such a wall in your home or workspace?

Pen to Paper

I believe that documenting ones inspirations is an important process to carry out. As with this blog, I look at it very much as my online sketchbook…a place to sort what I find on my travels and collate them in the way of posts. I still like to fuse pen to paper and love to fill my sketchbooks full of fabric cuttings, quotes and other such wordings.

Do you keep a sketchbook? I’d love to hear what inspires you!

Violet Hue

I have recently become attracted towards all things purple, adorned in this romantic hue. Whether it’s incorporated in your home or your wardrobe, it is the perfect colour to cheer up your day and to add a pop of colour.

I recently planted my window boxes for the arrival of summer (…even though it’s yet to arrive!) and I chose ivory pansies with a purple centre, blasting through the centre. Yum.

Magic Blooms

I love to gift friends and family with flowers and beautiful plants, not only is it a nice gesture but it can also be inexpensive. I always buy blooms from the supermarket and take them home and work my magic to make them personal. You can use brown postal paper, cellophane and bows, wrapping paper, tissue paper and twine… the possibilities vast, but there is nothing nicer than receiving something that has had thought and love injected in to it!

Under Beauty

I believe that we are all responsible for preserving history, and avoiding the effects of becoming a throw away society. With this thought, this weeks inspiration comes from the peeling of wallpaper and what beauty lies beneath. Many people strip the previous paper before hanging the new but these four special images highlight the past lives and people that have lived or worked within the walls that are papered.

Happy Friday!

Stock Pile

As soon as I saw this I had to share it with you all! I love the quirky touch to the pile by the random burst of colour painted onto the side of the wood. Not only is it fun, but it also makes an everyday view (if you’re lucky to have an open fire, that is!) into a stunning focal point for a home.

I hope you’re all having a lovely week!

Fabric Art

I adore the idea of hanging your favourite clothing off luxury silk hangers in your home. Not only is it an ever changing form of art, but it’s also a way of showcasing your beautiful garments that are often too splendid to be hid away in your wardrobe! Mix lovely fabrics and prints against plain walls or showcase your favourite shoes on a shelf…the possibilities are endless!

Pastel Pop

The weather outside may not be cheerful, but these rooms certainly are! The pop of pastel colours add a point of interest in the rooms, while continuing to maintain the relaxing atmospheres. There is nothing nicer than to be welcomed into a room with fresh flowers and foliage.

LOVE.

Lounging Around

As many of you will know, whenever I have a spare few minutes I always venture over to Pinterest for a mooch. Recently, I have come across so many lovely images of living rooms adorned with books, beautiful furniture and treasures that I thought I’d collate a post on my finds!

Happy Wednesday!
