Bygone Era

Stepping into this Parisian apartment is like stepping back into a bygone era. Since 1942, this stunning home has been left untouched by it’s owner Madame de Florian. During World War Two, the socialite left her apartment with the plan to return after the war, but never did. After her death in 2010, the first person to turn the key into this piece of history after 68 years was an auctioneer.

Chic

I’m off to Paris this weekend so thought that it would only be appropriate to share with you some lovely images of the beautiful city itself! I’m looking forward to a weekend of cobbled streets, vintage markets and sightseeing and soaking up the culture within my favourite place.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Kimono

My favourite time of the month is the delivery of my beloved magazine subscriptions, and I also like to keep up to date by viewing the publications websites. I am a regular visitor to Elle’s street chic section and find it a constant source of loveliness and this stunning image of a vintage kimono worn by a Paris Fashion Week go-er is just beautiful! I love the accents of green & turquoise, and the pop of skill that has been added to the silk kimono.

Deco Off

When I came across these street scenes I was taken back by their beauty and originality. This stunning lighting display adorned Rue de Mail in Paris to promote Linen & Hamp during Paris Deco Off in January. The collection of drums in all their printed fabrics and papers is simple but impactual.

Whisk me Away

Recently I have been craving a city break. I love the adventure of a long weekend, soaking up the culture of other beautiful cities and the architecture and attractions they offer. There is nothing more relaxing than long strolls along cobbled streets, long lunches and visits to art galleries and historical sites.

My desire for a weekend away has led me to collate a Pinterest page dedicated to the beauty of city life in the eyes of a tourist. To view more lovely cities, visit our Whisk me Away page…

Happy Wednesday to you all!

Curated Heart

Gone are the days when a shelf was just for storing books, they are now art forms and can be curated to your hearts content! I like to perch photographs amongst my books and add trinkets onto the horizontally stored books to make a feature of the storage in my home.

Here is a little collection of images to get your inspiration flowing…

Wishing you all a lovely week!

Romantic Balloon

I’ve always loved Paris and this piece of art made my heart flutter! It summarises the beautiful city perfectly – heart felt and romantic.

You can buy yourself one of these prints from Etsy. I think it’ll make a splendid addition to my dressing table…

Hope you’re having a good week!
