As we’re about to welcome Easter and sunnier times, I thought I’d put together a little table setting inspiration. As soon as this time of year comes around, I tend to shed my hibernation layers and love to entertain and welcome friends and family over to celebrate this lovely time of year.

My inspiration for this week has heavily lent towards fabrics and their manipulation. I love mixing fabrics that shouldn’t go together but do, and appreciating the bold move to combine what perhaps isn’t considered ‘ordinary’.
The floral fabric against the bold green wall adorned with the ornate mirror & fireplace, the eclectic rugs against the lily pad bathroom and the attention to detail in the pony skin coat and the intricate work of the bird embroidery. All stunning.
If you’re looking for decoration with an impact then a full length mirror is the ideal investment for your home. Mirrors are brilliant for adding depth to a room and if you also choose an ornate mirror, it’ll be the perfect feature in any room. Not only are full length mirrors chic, they’re also practical.

In a few weeks time the clocks go forward and summer will have officially arrived. I love to celebrate this time of year by overloading my home & workspace with floral delights. There is nothing nice than being welcomed into a room by the bloom of a hydrangea or the floral scent of a hyacinth.

Recently I have fallen even more in love with metallics, not only do metallics make a statement but they also make me smile. There is no better way of uplifting a basic than with a pair of metallic shoes upon your feet…

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a sucker for a beautiful bathroom. I think a bathroom is an area in a home that can be a little more quirky and so they should be! A stunning roll top bath is quite simply love in cast iron.

Occasionally I come across beautiful pieces of vintage fabric that aren’t big enough to use for upholstery but are too beautiful to resist. This idea of suspending the fabric as a piece of art on a wall is simply perfect. The beautiful colours and motifs of the fabric is on show for all to see.
