Visual Delights

I seem to have been drawn to pink inspirations of late and how, when the colour is mixed with subtler hues the colour jumps out at you.

Our house renovations are in full swing at the moment so I am on a constant quest for beautiful imagery to give me ideas and  have been filling up the Hana & George Pinterest page with visual delights!

Winter Grey

Grey is most definitely my favourite hue. It’s so versatile and whether its charcoal or silver in shade, its diversity can be seen in interiors, fashion and in nature. I love to used muted greys and to contrast them with an array of patterns and textures…yum!

This week we appear to have fallen into winter, the nights are getting colder and our surroundings have began to hibernate.

Bloom Injection

I love to adorn my home with fresh flowers, especially at this time of year when the flowers and plants that grace gardens are beginning to tuck themselves away for the winter.

Flowers are the perfect ‘pick me up’ for any sideboard or table, and is an easy way of injecting colour into a room. I like to place my blooms in irregular vases, upon books and shelves.

Swan Lake

You’ll either love this bed or hate it, but for me it is utterly stunning! The way that the bed is centre within the room and ‘sat’ within calm hues and on a blue rug instantly reminds me of a swan drifting down a lake shimmering in the summer sun…

Pastel Pop

The weather outside may not be cheerful, but these rooms certainly are! The pop of pastel colours add a point of interest in the rooms, while continuing to maintain the relaxing atmospheres. There is nothing nicer than to be welcomed into a room with fresh flowers and foliage.

Mural

I adore the colourful quirkiness of this kitchen. The green hues with the stunning mural ceiling is eye catching, without being too over powering. The greens are in situ through out the room, but in many different colours and prints.

As we are now approaching spring, and as I write this post the sun is shining, I thought it would be the perfect time for me to share a few pastel images that I have been storing up as seasonal inspiration.

I love the feminine hues is the images below, the textured fabrics and array of materials is simply stunning!

Printed Blooms

Even though this year seems to have flown by so far, I am beginning to crave a little more warmth and sunshine into my days. As we are a while off spring gracing us with its presence, these two images with their orange floral hues from the printed fabric & big blooms are a perfect substitute.

Subtle Romance

I love the romance of this image. The combination of subtle hues compliments the hanging screen print with it’s intricate detailing. The pink wallpaper through the door frame, ‘pops’ the pinks of the screen print outwards, like a 3d image.
